This article outlines the necessary settings for any generic CalDAV / CardDAV client.

Note that most clients will use Automatic Configuration and Discovery when originally setting up the accounts. However, when this is not the case, or when account settings need to be verified or changed, this article outlines the desired configuration for generic CalDAV / CardDAV configuration values.

Also note that, although DAV is fundamentally HTTP(S), some clients might need other naming in the URL; such as DAV://…,  DAVS://… or in some cases even just nothing.
